Process is vital to me as an artist and a mother.Elements from my daily life as a mother and woman become food for my work.Within this new body of work I have focused on my roleas a mother, daily rythms and ritualistic daily chores.Basically the dirt and hard graft.I see dirt as a metaphor for pain and trauma in life and have usedcleansing and washing as a vehicle to explore this.We can wash and clean but some stains are so stubborn and penetrated so deeply that they are with us for life,no matter how hard we scrub.
